Novell ZENworks 7 Desktop Management Support Pack 1 - ZDM7 SP1 Application Launcher (NAL)
Situation
When overwriting a local workstation file through a nal app some local file rights are removed.
Resolution
To obtain a hot patch with the fix for this problem, follow the instructions in KB 3484245 "Updates to Novell ZENworks 7 Desktop Management" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support
Additional Information
An example of this problem: If a simple text file is placed on an XPsp2 workstation, say c:\temp\text.txt and full local rights are given to the user, then a nal app overwrites this file from a Netware volume, the file rights are modified. The same thing does not happen when the user manually copies the file from the Netware volume over the local text file.
