Some Patches will not cache

Environment

Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2

Situation

If a patch was posted with an error, the subscription service will not update the new patch correctly in the database. 

The problem is that after this occurs the patch will fail to update the cache correctly.
 
Specifically MS12-043 to MS12-050.

Resolution

This is fixed in version 11.2.2 - see KB 7010757 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2.2 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://support.microfocus.com/kb/doc.php?id=7010757
 
Workaround:
  1. In the Patch Management page, select the failed patches and use the delete option.  This will clear the bad data from the database.
  2. Rerun the patch subscription update.  ZCC > Configuration > Patch Management > Subscription Information > Update Now.
  3. After the update completes, attempt to re-cache the patches.
