Serial number is not gathered from initial inventory scan on new device

Situation

When a machine is first registered into the zone, there is an initial inventory scan.  This initial scan may not pick up the serial number of the device, even though subsequent inventory scans do pick up the serial number.  This problem may cause the machine not to reconcile properly.

Resolution

This is fixed in version 11.2.2 - see KB 7010757 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2.2 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://support.microfocus.com/kb/doc.php?id=7010757
