Environment

Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2

Situation

The Windows iphelper service is stopped during system update or install as part of setup.exe.  This can cause brief disruption when network connection is lost, and is required for installation of ZESM drivers.

This is required when setup runs with INSTALLDRIVERS=1, but not necessary when INSTALLDRIVERS=0.

Resolution

This is fixed in version 11.2.4 - see KB 7012027 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2.4 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at http:////support.microfocus.com/kb/doc.php?id=7012027

Additional Information

setup is called with INSTALLDRIVERS=0 if FDE and ZESM are disabled and Agent Self Defense is disabled, and location awareness is set to "Location Lite".
