Imaging device boot delayed at PXE connection closure

Environment

Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2 Imaging

Situation

Devices boot with ZENworks PXE and get delayed by up to 30 seconds after showing the message
"Contacting Novell Preboot Policy Service...Done".

Resolution

This is fixed in version 11.2.4 - see KB 7012027 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2.4 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://support.microfocus.com/kb/doc.php?id=7012027

Cause

Device waits but does not receive the acknowledgement packet of PXE the connection getting closed from the imaging server. At this stage the device would not need to wait for this acknowledgement since the connection closure got triggered by the device.
