Novell ZENworks 7 Desktop Management on Linux Support Pack 1 - ZDML7 SP1 Automatic Workstation Import
Novell ZENworks Desktop Management 7 - Support Pack 1 - ZDM7 Automatic Workstation Import

Situation

The "zwsreg -importpolicy" command line switch and the registry key:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Novell\ZENworks\ZENWSREG\ImportPolicy (String Value) are unable to locate a manually specified policy.

Resolution

For ZDM7: Fixed in ZENworks 7 Desktop Management Service Pack 1 Interim Release 3a, available at Novell Downloads

For ZDML7: Fixed in ZENworks 7 Desktop Management on Linux Service Pack 1 Interim Release 3a. available at Novell Downloads

Additional Information

NOTE:
This is not an issue when used in conjunction with the switch "-importserver none". Be aware that this will switch bypass the Automatic Workstation Import Service and the logged in user creates the workstation object (this user must have the rights to do so).

Steps to Dupilcate:
1) Launch ConsoleOne and create an AWSI server policy.
2) Get the full name of the policy (not package), this can be seen by lauching ConsoleOne with the '-showhiddenobjects switch'.
3) From the commandline in Windows run "zwsreg -unreg"
4) From the commandline in Windows run "zwsreg -importserver -importpolicy <"cn= .ou= .o=">
