Environment

Novell ZENworks 6.5 Desktop Management Support Pack 2 - ZDM6.5 SP2 Application Launcher (NAL)
Novell ZENworks 7 Desktop Management Support Pack 1 - ZDM7 SP1 Application Launcher (NAL)

Situation

The MSI SourceList does not reflect the MSI App object's Sources

Resolution

For ZDM7: Fixed in ZENworks 7 with SP1 Desktop Management, available at Novell Downloads

For ZDM6.5 SP2: fixed in ZENworks 6.5 Desktop Management SP2 IR1 or newer found at Novell Downloads

Additional Information

Changes to Sources under the ZENworks MSI application object > Common > Sources is not accurately updated in the MS Windows registry.

The registry location for the SourceList is dependant on the type of installation that was performed.

Per-user installations:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Installer\Products\\SourceList

Per-machine installations:
HKLM\Software\Classes\Installer\Products\\SourceList

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1) Create an MSI application object
2) Associate it to the WS and install it through the NAL
3) Check the following key: HKLM\Software\Classes\Installer\Products\\SourceList\Net
4) Modify the Application object -> Common -> Sources
5) Refresh the NAL
6) Check the registry key again

Currently the new entry in the Application object > Common > Sources will be appended to the SourceList in the registry.
Adding multiple paths to the Sources tab or reordering this list after the inital install will not be recorded in the registry SourceList. The top entry in the tab is the only one that is appended.
