2.1 驱动程序的安装位置
必须决定是在本地还是远程安装驱动程序。 决定驱动程序的安装位置后，请继续执行Section 2.2, 符合驱动程序的要求中的步骤。
2.1.1 本地安装
本地安装会将驱动程序与 Lotus Domino 服务器、Identity Vault 和 Identity Manager 安装在同一台计算机上。
建议您始终使用远程装载程序来装载 Identity Manager driver for Lotus Notes，即使驱动程序与 Identity Vault 和 Identity Manager 安装在同一台计算机上也是如此。

2.1.2 远程安装
远程安装通常将驱动程序安装在 Identity Manager 和 Identity Vault 所在计算机以外的计算机上。 当 Domino 和 Identity Vault 不在同一台服务器上时，必须使用该选项。

在 AIX、Solaris 或 Linux 上安装 Notes 驱动程序时，该驱动程序要求将远程装载程序安装在同一位置。 Novell 建议对 Notes 驱动程序使用远程装载程序，以降低驱动程序策略引起的潜在错误的影响，这些错误可能会对 Domino 服务器的运行产生不利影响。
