1.0 Fan-Out Driver is Available on IDM 3 ISOs

The currently supported version of the Fan-Out driver is available on the Original IDM 3 ISO distribution. A future release will be available Aug-Sept '06 Timeframe on an updated version of the Linux & UNIX Integration Module ISO (look for version 3.11).

2.0 The Linux and UNIX driver PAM module is not compatible with the 64-bit version of PAM on 64-bit versions of SUSE Enterprise Linux Server 10

A future patch containing a 64 bit compiled PAM module will be available in the near future.

3.0 Renaming a user or group is not supported by AIX

AIX does not support renaming groups or users. The scripts could be modified to do a delete then an add, but is not supported by default.

4.0 The Create and Remove Home Directory Options have no effect on AIX

AIX creates ome directories for users by default. To configure this see /usr/lib/security/mkuser.default and /etc/security/login.cfg on the AIX system.

5.0 The AIX LAM module only supports the files database type

LAM on AIX does not support NIS or NIS+ so only the database type of Files can be used.

6.0 AIX 5.1 Cannot Publish Group Membership

To enable publishing of Groups Membership Values into eDirectory, you must first install a /dev/random device and mktemp.

7.0 HP UX 11i release 1v6 Shadow Files not supported

Release 1v6 of HP UX 11i has introduced Shadow Files to HP UX and is not currently supported.

8.0 The Embedded Remote Loader Web Log View Not Displaying

The Embedded Remote Loader trace file and status log cannot be viewed by without unchecking the web browsers "Use SSLv2" in the security options.

9.0 PAM on RedHat AS 2.1 and 3.0

The pam_unix.so line that exists in system-auth is "special" in the AS 2.1 and 3.0 releases, in that it wipes out PAM_AUTHTOKand PAM_OLDAUTHTOK, preventing us from capturing the password change. For a workaround, use the pam_pwdb.so instead of pam_unix.so.
