Novell exteNd Messaging Platform 5.1 Tools and Server Reference

The Novell exteNd Messaging Platform provides the following utilities and servers all written in Java.

• certtool

  The certificate tool.

• chngserv

  Utility to change a registered server's deployment descriptor.

• cleandoors

  Utility to delete unused Doors - Solaris only.

• dbinit

  The dbinit utility program is used to create and delete the database tables requires by the JMS server. The database utility program also allows you to dump information about destinations.

• gateway

  The IIOP Connection Concentrator server.

• id2java

  The IDL to Java compiler.

• jbconsole

  The jbconsole utility program displays monitorable properties of running ORB server applications.

• jbrunner

  The jbrunner utility program makes it easy to run ORB client applications. It automatically sets all necessary command line parameters.

• jmqconfig

  The jmqconfig utility program is used to dump the state of a running JMS server into an XML file. The resulting file contains information about destinations and security settings (users, groups and access control lists). The utility program can also be used to load the state described in an XML into a running JMS server.

• jmqmon

  The jmqmon program monitors a JMS server. If the server crashes, it will automatically be restarted by the monitor.

• jmqrun

  The jmqrun utility program makes it easy to run JMS client applications. It automatically sets all necessary command line parameters.

• jmqserv

  The jmqserv program is used to start and stop the JMS Server.

• jmqutil

  The jmqutil utility program is used to create and delete JMS destinations (queues and topics). Destination properties can be specified on the command line.

• jorbd

  The ORB daemon.

• licensetool

  The Novell exteNd Messaging Platform license management tool.

• listnc

  A COS Naming Service browser.

• listserv

  Utility to list registered and active servers.

• parseIOR

  Utility to display tje contents of an IOR.

• realmtool

  Tool for managing a basic realm instance.

• regserv

  Utility to register a server with the ORB daemon.

• rmi2idl

  The RMI to IDL compiler.

• rmi2iiop

  The RMI to IIOP compiler.

• startserv

  Utility to start a server registered with the ORB daemon.

• stopserv

  Utility to stop a server registered with the ORB daemon.

• tnameserv

  A simple transient Naming Service server.

• unregserv

  Utility to unregister a server from the ORB daemon.
