1 當 Novell 儲存服務 (Novell Storage Services™，NSS) 安裝在 Linux 伺服器上時，會從本地系統移除這些使用者，並在 eDirectory 中建立成啟用 LUM 的使用者。之所以需要這樣做是因為這些使用者必須擁有 NSS 資料的存取權，而且所有的 NSS 存取權都是透過 eDirectory 來控制。
