You can set up policies in the following ways:
Before you can import a workstation into the tree, you first need to create and associate a Workstation Import Policy to the user. Launch NetWare® Administrator > select the Organization or Organizational Unit where you want to store ZENworksTM policy packages. Right-click the Organization or Organizational Unit > click Create > Policy Packages > OK. In the Policy Package Wizard, select one of the User Packages > click Next. Choose the User Policy Package that corresponds to your users' operating systems (Windows* 3.1, Windows 95/98, or Windows NT*). Give the User Policy Package a name (or accept the default) > select the location where you want the policy package > click Next. From the Policies list, click a Workstation Import Policy > Details. Click the Workstation Location page > select the container where you want the Workstation object to be created. If you want Workstation objects in the same location as the User objects, accept the default User Container. If you want to change the location, choose Selected Container and browse for a location Click the Workstation Name page > select how you want the workstations named > click OK. The Workstations will be named according to the items in the list. If you accept the default, your Workstations will be named as follows: Click Next > add associations to the list > click Next again. View the summary > click Finish. To create a search policy Create a Container Package. Enable the search policy. It defaults to Object, Group, and Container, in that order. Modify the search policy. Remove Group from the Search Order page, or change the search for policies up to Partition. Associate the search policy to the container that you want to affect. A Search policy, which can be associated only with containers, sets the policy for how the system will search for associated policy packages and effective policies. You can create a Search policy to modify the default Search policy. In NetWare Administrator, click a Container object. Click Create > Policy Package > Container Package. Name the policy package. Click Define Additional Properties > Create. Click Enable the Search Policy. Select the search policy > click Details. To specify a different search order, click Search Order. The default search order, Object > Group > Container to Root, can be reordered and can be limited to one, two, or all three locations. For instance, you could set the search order to Object > Container to not search Groups. To limit how many levels in the tree are searched for associated policy packages, click Search Level. Associate the Search policy to the container that you want to affect. You can limit which objects ZENworks searches. For example, you may not want to use group membership to determine policies. A Search policy can also limit how high in the tree ZENworks searches for effective policies. For example, you might want to search only to the root of a partition for performance reasons.Creating and Associating a User to a Workstation Import Policy
