Configuring the eGuide Display

The eGuide display is the screen appearance and the features that you make available to users.

This section contains the following display options:

Search Settings

Use this page to specify the number of search rows you want for a normal search and an advanced search (plus sign) in the eGuide client. Click the Help button for more information.

The search settings let you specify the number of search rows that appear for a normal search and when a user does an advanced search (clicks on the plus sign) in the Novell eGuide client. It also lets you modify the list of search constraints users can select from in each search row.

A search row consists of three drop-down lists: one for the search category (such as users), one for the search attribute (such as Last Name), and one for the search contstraint (such as "starts with...").

This section contains the following procedures:

Adding a Search Constraint

  1. In the Available column, select the search constraint you want.

  2. Click the right-arrow to move the constraint to the Selected box.

  3. Click Save.

Removing a Search Constraint

  1. In the Selected box, select the constraint you want to remove.

  2. Click the left-arrow to move the constraint to the available box.
