After participating systems are set up and their drivers have been configured, use the following procedures to verify that data is synchronized correctly.
Start Each Driver
Start one driver at a time to validate proper DirXML configuration.
On each system, ensure that the Remote Loader service is running and that you can view the trace screen for the Remote Loader.
Open a DSTrace screen on the computer where the Workforce Tree is installed.
In iManager, select DirXML Management > Overview.
Browse to the Nsure Resources driver set.
Click the status icon in the upper right corner of the driver's icon, then click Start Driver.
Review the messages in the DSTrace screen and the remote trace screen to verify successful driver start.
After all drivers are running, begin the provisioning process as described in the following section, Hire a New Employee .
Hire a New Employee
In your HR system, hire John Brown. Hire him as an employee; he will be promoted to manager in later testing. Verify data synchronization as follows.
Workforce Tree Object: A User object named JBROWN exists in the Active.Users.YourOrganization container. John is listed in the Employee group.
Account Systems: An account was created for John in each of your account systems. Log in to the account systems as John.
Messaging Systems: An account was created for John. He was added to the employee distribution list. Access John's mail account. Look at John's object in the Workforce Tree and verify that the Internet Email Address is populated.
Modify Employee Information
Log in to eGuide as John and change his cell phone number. Verify data synchronization as follows.
Workforce Tree Object: John's Mobile attribute reflects the change.
HR Systems: John's new cell phone number has been updated.
Promote an Employee to Management
In the HR system, assign John to a management position. Verify data synchronization as follows.
Workforce Tree Object: John's isManager attribute is set to True. John is no longer part of the Employee group; he is part of the Manager group.
Messaging Systems: John is added to the Managers distribution list. He is removed from the Employees distribution list.
Remove an Employee
In the HR system, terminate John's employment. Verify data synchronization as follows.
Workforce Tree Object: John's LoginDisabled attribute is set to True. John is no longer part of the Employee group or the Manager group. His user object is moved to the Users/Inactive container.
Account Systems: John's account is disabled. Access is denied if login is attempted.
