2.3 Changing Item Types

In GroupWise Web you can change a mail, appointment, note, task, or phone item to one of the other types as long as it does not reside in a shared folder.

2.3.1 Changing New Items in the Compose View

To change the item type for a New Message, New Appointment, New Task, New Note, or New Phone item:

With the Compose window open for one of the items above, click the item type drop-down arrow with its associated icon and select a different item type from the menu. The example below shows the drop-down menu for a New Appointment:

2.3.2 Changing Existing Items

You can change an item selected in a list from the toolbar in the Preview Pane, from the right-click menu, and from the item itself when it is opened.

Toolbar change. To change a selected item in the Preview Pane:

  1. Click the 3-dot menu in the toolbar and select Change To.

  2. Select the item type you want to change to.

Right-click change. To change an item from the context-menu:

  1. Right-click the item in an item list or in the Calendar view, and select Change To.

  2. Select the item type you want to change to.

Open item change. To change an existing item when opened:

  1. Click the 3-dot menu in the item toolbar and select Change To.

  2. Select the item type you want to change to.
