Finding an Item Using Search Criteria

  1. Click Find toolbar icon on the toolbar.

  2. To search for specific text, type what you are looking for in the Full Text or Subject text boxes.

  3. To search for a name, type the name in the From or To/CC text box.

  4. Click Search to begin the Find.


Narrowing a Find

  • In the Subject and Message text boxes of the Find dialog box, type the uncommon words you have noticed in the item. If you search using common words, the results of your search are likely to find too many items to be very helpful.
  • If you cannot find the document or message, check your search criteria for misspelled words. In addition, check the syntax of your search to make sure you are telling Find to search for exactly what you want.
