30.7 GroupWise Clustering Worksheets

30.7.1 Heartbeat Clustering Worksheet

Item

Explanation

1) HA Management Client Password:

Specify the password you use to access the GUI HA Management Client.

For more information, see Section 30.1.1, Recording Heartbeat Cluster Information.

2) Nodes in Cluster:

List the nodes in your Heartbeat cluster that you will use in your GroupWise system. Identify each node by its hostname and its physical IP address on your network.

For more information, see Section 30.1.1, Recording Heartbeat Cluster Information.

3) EVMS Container Resources:

Specify the names of the EVMS failover container resources that you want to represent partitions of shared storage provided by the SAN in your cluster.

For more information, see Section 30.1.1, Recording Heartbeat Cluster Information.

4) File System Resources:

  • Device

  • Directory

  • File system type

List the EVMS device name (for example, /dev/evms/gwsystem/gwvol1), the mount point directory (/mnt, /gwsystem, etc.), and file system type (reiserfs, ext3, etc.), for each file system.

For more information, see Section 30.1.1, Recording Heartbeat Cluster Information.

5) IP Address Resources:

List the IP address resources and secondary IP addresses that will be assigned to GroupWise components.

For more information, see Section 30.1.4, Planning Secondary IP Addresses.

6) Cluster Resource Groups for GroupWise Components

If you want your domain and post office to fail over together, you need one cluster resource group. If you want them to fail over separately, you need two cluster resource groups.

For more information, see Section 30.1.3, Planning Cluster Resources and Resource Groups.

7) Cluster Resource for Domain:

Domain Name:

Post Office in Same Resource Group as Domain?

  • Yes

  • No

Specify the name of the cluster resource group where the GroupWise domain will reside, along with the name of the domain.

For more information, see Section 13.3, Planning a New Clustered Domain.

8) Cluster Resource for Post Office:

Post Office Name:

Specify the name of the cluster resource group where the GroupWise post office will reside, along with the name of the post office.

For more information, see Section 13.4, Planning a New Clustered Post Office.

9) Cluster Resource Group Constraints for Domain:

  • Place

  • Order

  • Colocation

Specify the constraints you want to put on the domain resource group to control what nodes it can run on.

For more information, see Section 13.6.2, Determining Appropriate Failover Lists for the Agents.

10) Cluster Resource Constraints for Post Office:

  • Place

  • Order

  • Colocation

Specify the constraints you want to put on the post office resource group to control what nodes it can run on.

For more information, see Section 13.6.2, Determining Appropriate Failover Lists for the Agents.

30.7.2 GroupWise Clustering Worksheet

Item

Explanation

1) Software Distribution Directory:

Specify the full path of the directory where the GroupWise software distribution directory will reside.

For more information, see Section 13.2, Planning a Clustered Software Distribution Directory.

2) Domain Name:

Domain Directory:

Mount Point:

Specify the name for the domain. Specify the directory on the resource group partition where you want to create the new domain. Specify the mount point where each node will mount the domain directory.

For more information, see Section 13.3, Planning a New Clustered Domain.

3) MTA Network Information:

  • Secondary IP address

  • Message transfer port: 7100

  • HTTP port: 7180

Select a secondary IP address and its cluster resource from Item 5 on the Heartbeat Clustering Worksheet. You can use the default port numbers if they are not already used on your system.

4) Post Office Name:

Post Office Directory:

Mount Point:

Specify the name for the post office. Specify the directory on the resource group partition where you want to create the post office. Specify the mount point where each node will mount the post office directory.

For more information, see Section 13.4, Planning a New Clustered Post Office.

5) POA Network Information:

  • Secondary IP address

  • Client/server port: 1677

  • Message transfer port: 7101

  • HTTP port: 7181

Select an IP address resource and its secondary IP address from Item 5 on the Heartbeat Clustering Worksheet. You can use the default port numbers if they are not already used on your system.

6) Document Storage Area Location:

  • At the post office

  • Outside the post office

  • Separate post office

If you need a library for a clustered post office, mark where you want to create its document storage area and provide a directory if necessary.

For more information, see Section 13.5, Planning a New Library for a Clustered Post Office.
