Creating and Configuring User Accounts

Task In Novell iManager

Creating a User object

Click Roles and Tasks button > User Management > Create User.

Modifying a User object

Click Roles and Tasks button > User Management > Modify User.

Modifying multiple User objects simultaneously

Click Roles and Tasks button > User Management > Modify User > Select Multiple Objects.

Deleting a User object

Click Roles and Tasks button > User Management > Delete User.

Creating a User template

This feature is not available in Novell iManager. When creating a user, you can copy attributes from another User object, or use an existing User Template object created in ConsoleOne.

Click Roles and Tasks button > User Management > Modify User > specify a username and context > click OK > on the General tab, click Environment.

Setting up extra login security for a user

Click Roles and Tasks button > User Management > Modify User > specify a username and context > click OK > Restrictions > Login Restrictions.

Restricting the locations a user can log in from

Click Roles and Tasks button > User Management > Modify User > specify a username and context > click OK > Restrictions> Address Restrictions.

Restricting the times when a user can be logged in

Click Roles and Tasks button > User Management > Modify User > specify a username and context > click OK > Restrictions > Time Restrictions.

Setting up intruder detection for all User objects in a container
