6.3 Using the BitKinex WebDAV Client with Basic or Digest Authentication over HTTP or HTTPS

BitKinex is a third-party WebDAV client that can be used to browse and edit files in Teaming 3. BitKinex is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. It supports both Basic Authentication and Digest Authentication, and works with HTTP and HTTPS protocols.

To set up BitKinex to perform WebDAV authentication in Teaming, complete the following sections:

6.3.1 Turning Off Edit-in-Place for the Teaming Site

  1. Change to the following directory:

    Linux:

    /opt/novell/teaming/apache-tomcat-version/
                               webapps/ssf/WEB-INF/classes/config
    

    Windows:

    c:\Program Files\Novell\Teaming\apache-tomcat-version\
                               webapps\ssf\WEB-INF\classes\config
    
  2. Make a backup copy of the ssf-ext.properties file.

  3. Open the ssf-ext.properties file.

  4. Scroll to the end of the ssf-ext.properties file, then add the following line.

    edit.in.place=false
    
  5. Save and close the ssf-ext.properties file.

  6. Stop and restart Teaming to put the modified file associations into affect for your Teaming site.
