Account Balance

Use this property page to set up an accounting of the user's NetWare* server usage. This requires that one or more NetWare servers be set up to charge for usage. ConsoleOne* does not yet provide the ability to set up usage charges on NetWare* servers. Use NetWare* Administrator to do that.

Account Balance
Specifies the amount of credit the user has to buy network services. As the user uses network services, the account balance is decremented by the system.

To set an account balance, enter a number from -99,999,999 to 999,999,999. The number is relative to the particular services being charged for, the rates being charged, and the number of NetWare* servers that are charging. These variables are set up on a server-by-server basis.

Allow Unlimited Credit
Specifies whether to allow the user unlimited use of network services. If this check box is selected and you set an account balance, the system maintains the balance for your reference but otherwise ignores it.

To enforce a limit on the use of network services, deselect this check box and fill in the Low Balance Limit field.

Low Balance Limit
Specifies the minimum account balance that must be maintained for the user to continue using network services. You can enter any number from -99,999,999 to 999,999,999. If the account balance falls below this value, within a half hour the user is logged out and denied further access to the servers on which accounting is set up.

The contents of this field are stored as the Minimum Account Balance property of the User object.
