With the exception of one task (creating home directories for Samba users), we recommend that all NNLS management be performed using the browser-based tools. This ensures that all the system commands required to execute various tasks are performed in proper order and that none of them is overlooked.
Table 5 is a quick reference for accessing NNLS management tools. Specific instructions for the tasks listed are found in the administration guides and other documentation for the services each tool manages.
Table 5. NNLS Management Tool Quick Reference
| Tool | Tasks | Access Method or URL | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
eGuide Administrator |
Configure:
|
http://IP_or_DNS/eGuide/admin https://IP_or_DNS/eGuide/admin |
For more information on using the eGuide Administrator tool, see the Novell eGuide 2.1.2 Administration Guide. |
iFolder® Management Tool |
|
https://IP_or_DNS/iFolderServer/Admin |
Although the home page is displayed after an http request, logging into the tool requires an https request and connection. For more information on using the iFolder Management Tool, see the Novell iFolder 2.1 Installation and Administration Guide. |
iManager |
|
http://IP_or_DNS/nps/iManager https://IP_or_DNS/nps/iManager |
Requires an SSL connection (HTTPS). Both HTTP and HTTPS requests establish the SSL connection. For more information on using iManager, see the Novell iManager 2.0.x Administration Guide. |
WebAdmin |
|
http://IP_or_DNS:8018 https://IP_or_DNS:8020 |
WebAdmin is used to administer NetMailTM and Novell Resource Management (Red CarpetTM daemon). You can use one of the URLs shown or access the tool through iManager. For more information on using WebAdmin, see the Novell NetMail 3.5 Administration Guide. |
NOTE: Administrators who are familiar with other Novell products might expect to see ConsoleOne® listed. However, because no NNLS components require ConsoleOne, it is not included with the product.
