The hands-on exercises leverage two of your personal email addresses:
One is assigned to user red for demonstrating Filr’s notification capabilities.
The other is used for inviting an external user to collaborate on a project.
If you are not interested in email notifications or external sharing as part of the end user exercises, you can skip all of the remaining sections and steps in this guide that are marked (Email Only).
If you want to experiment with email notifications that originate from Filr, you must complete the following sections:
On the VMware host workstation, open Windows Explorer and ensure that the file toolbar is displayed. If it’s not displayed, press F10.
Click thetab, then click > > .
Navigate to hosts file and select Properties.> > > , then right-click the
Select your user name, then Edit the permissions and assign yourself Full Control of the hosts file.
Right-click the hosts file and open it in a text editor, such as Notepad, then add the following line:
Save and close the file.
Ensure that theicon is selected.
In the left panel, click> .
Click theicon next to the field.
In the red, then click .field, type
Under, click the link for user red.
Click the plus icon next to thefield.
Type the email address you have chosen to use with these exercises, for example email@example.com.
Click> > , then close iManager.
Using your administrative browser, access Filr through the following URL:
Sign in as User: admin with Password: novellfilr.
Click(upper right), then select .
Under, click .
User red’s profile is modified.
