12.3 Post-Installation

12.3.1 ClamAV Client Desktop Download

The ClamAV client is now available for installing to Windows client components from Desktop Downloads. There is no desktop download for the Linux client, because SUSE® Linux Desktop (SLED) includes ClamAV.

  1. Log in to the NOWS SBE console.

  2. Click Products and Services.

  3. In the Select Component panel, click Anti-Virus (ClamAV).

  4. Under Desktop Downloads, click ClamAV Client for Windows.

  5. To save the install file to your computer, click Save File to Disk, then click OK.

  6. After the download is complete, click the clamAV.msi file on your desktop. The ClamAV Client Software component is now downloaded to your desktop.

    NOTE:During the client install, you have the option of updating your virus signatures online. It is recommended that you do so.

12.3.2 Scan Scheduling

  1. Log in to the NOWS SBE console.

  2. Click Products and Services.

  3. In the Select Component panel, click Anti-Virus (ClamAV).

  4. Under Administrative Console, click Scan Scheduling.

  5. Select the days and times you want automatic virus scans to occur.

  6. Click Save.
