3.5 Post-Installation

eDirectory is managed with iManager, which is accessed through the Add/Remove link in the Components panel.

NOTE:To uninstall eDirectory™, you must first uninstall iManager.

3.5.1 Desktop Download

  1. Log in to the NOWS SBE Administration console.

  2. Click Products and Services.

  3. On the Select Component panel, click Directory Services (eDirectory).

  4. Under Desktop Downloads, click the appropriate operating system link.

  5. To save the install to your computer, click Save to Disk, then click OK.

  6. After the download is complete, click the new ISO file on your desktop, then burn this to a blank CD.

  7. Put the CD into the workstation that you want to install into.

  8. Double-click the ncl_install file.

  9. Select Run in Terminal.

3.5.2 ConsoleOne

ConsoleOne® is an alternate tool for managing eDirectory. It is also provided if a needed task is not available in iManager.

ConsoleOne resides on the server in the /usr/ConsoleOne/bin directory.

  1. Click the tree icon to log in to ConsoleOne.
