Novell Open Workgroup Suite Overview

Open Workgroup Suite provides your organization with a flexible and cost-effective IT infrastructure made up of proven, open standards-based software. It includes server and desktop platforms with complete management tools, collaboration, and office-productivity software. This multiproduct suite offering is a clear alternative to a proprietary, Windows-centric solution for servers and desktops.

The Open Workgroup Suite is available in two options:

1.0 Novell Open Workgroup Suite

For customers who choose to deploy NetWare as their main platform but who want the option of introducing Linux when they feel it appropriate, this option includes:

  • Open Enterprise Server licensed for deployment on Linux and NetWare

  • ZENworks Suite

  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop

  • OpenOffice.org for Windows

  • Novell Teaming

2.0 Novell Open Workgroup Suite – Linux Edition

For customers ready to deploy Linux throughout their environment, this option includes:

  • Open Enterprise Server licensed for deployment on Linux only

  • ZENworks Suite

  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop

  • OpenOffice.org for Windows

  • Novell Teaming
