The Maintenance and UsageServer processes can be run from multiple locations at the same time, enabling you to balance the workload among several servers.
To install and configure another instance of the Maintenance and UsageServer processes:
From a Windows workstation, log in to the NetWare® server or Windows 2000 server where you want to install the processes.
If you are installing to a Windows 2000 server, we recommend that you run the Installation program at the server.
Insert the Novell ZENworks OnDemand Services 2 CD.
Run odsetup.exe from the \ondemand directory.

At the Introduction page, click Next to display the License Agreement page.
After reviewing the license information, select I Accept the Terms of the License Agreement, then click Next to display the Installation Type page.
Click Custom, then click Next to display the Product Components to Install page.
Deselect all components except Maintenance and UsageServer Process, then click Next to display the Maintenance and UsageServer Platform page.
Select the type of server where you will install the processes, then click Next.
Select the server location where you want the files installed, then click Next.
The Installation program will create an \ondemand directory structure at the location you choose.
Supply the LDAP information:
LDAP Server Name: Enter the IP address or host name of the LDAP Server through which the Maintenance and Usage Server processes can authenticate to eDirectory.
Admin Name: Enter the distinguished name of the Admin user or an Admin-equivalent user. Use LDAP syntax to specify the name (for example, cn=admin,o=novell).
Container: Enter the context of the container that will become the root container for the Maintenance process. The Maintenance process will maintain purchase and usage records for any packages located within this container (and its subcontainers). Use LDAP syntax to specify the container (for example, ou=apps,ou=services,o=novell).
IMPORTANT: You need to ensure that no two Maintenance processes are configured to process the same eDirectory containers. To ensure this, it might be necessary to reconfigure your existing Maintenance processes, as explained in Step 14.
Click Next to display the Maintenance and UsageServer LDAP Authentication page.
Select whether or not you want the Maintenance and UsageServer processes to use the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol for their connections to the LDAP Server, then click Next to display the Review page
Review the summary, then click Install.
When the installation is complete, before you start this instance of the Maintenance process you need to make sure that no other previously-installed Maintenance process is configured to maintain the same part of the eDirectory tree. To do so:
Open the commerceserver.cfg file for the previously-installed Maintenance process. The file is located in the \ondemand directory on the Maintenance process server.
Locate the baseContext property.
Change the context as needed.
For more information about the baseContext property, see Modifying the Maintenance and UsageServer Configuration File (Commerceserver.cfg) .
To start the Maintenance process: At the NetWare server console, enter commercemaintenance.ncf.
or
At the Windows server command prompt, change to the directory where the Maintenance process was installed (by default, \ondemand\bin), then enter commercemaintenance.bat.
To start the Usage Server process: At the NetWare server console, enter usageserver.ncf.
or
At the Windows server command prompt, change to the directory where the Usage Server was installed (by default, \ondemand\bin), then enter usageserver.bat.
