If you do not already have some of the required software products installed, the preferred installation order is shown below. If there is an alternative installation order, the product's description gives it.
eDirectory 8.5 (or higher): Make sure the tree and servers where you will install OnDemand Services components use eDirectory 8.5 or higher.

ZENworks for Desktops (ZfD) 3.2: OnDemand Services enables usage tracking of desktop applications. If you will use ZfD 3.2, you should install it before OnDemand Services so that OnDemand Services can install its usage tracking components to the ZENworks server. If you choose to install ZfD 3.2 after OnDemand Services, you will need to run the OnDemand Services Installation program again and use the Custom Install option to install the OnDemand Services components for ZfD.

Web Server, Web Application Server, and JVM: These software components must be installed before Novell Portal Services and OnDemand Services. For supported Web server environments, see Web Server, Web Application Server, JVM, and Novell Portal Services .
Novell Portal Services (NPS) 1.5: If you have purchased the full version of NPS 1.5, you must install it before you install OnDemand Services. This allows the OnDemand Services Installation program to copy the OnDemand Services gadgets to your NPS 1.5 portal location and then configure the gadgets.

If you plan to use the runtime version of NPS 1.5 that is included with OnDemand Services, you will be given the opportunity to install it during the OnDemand Services installation process.
OnDemand Services 2: See the installation instructions in Installing OnDemand Services .
DeFrame 2.01: If you plan to use DeFrame 2.01 to make thin-client applications available to users through OnDemand Services, you should install DeFrame after installing OnDemand Services.
