When installing Novell Open Enterprise Server (OES), if you choose iPrint, you can skip the instructions in this section and proceed to Section 3.3, Setting Up iPrint, because the iPrint software components are automatically installed on the server during OES installation. The Common UNIX Printing System (CUPS) software is also installed. However, even though the CUPS software is installed, it is disabled to avoid port 631 conflicts.
In order to disable iPrint services, you need to disable the Print Manager and the Driver Store. For more information on disabling iPrint services, see Disabling OES 11 Services
in the OES 11 SP3: Installation Guide.
