OES 2 SP3: Upgrading to OES—Best Practices Guide

Open Enterprise Server (OES) 2 SP3 is the next generation of the Novell® services that have long been valued by a wide variety of businesses and other organizations, ranging from small businesses to multi-national enterprises.

When you install OES 2 SP3, you install SUSE® Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 10 SP4 as the core OS and the OES 2 SP3 components as an add-on product.

Documentation Conventions

In Novell documentation, a greater-than symbol (>) is used to separate actions within a step and items in a cross-reference path.
