Uninstalling Applications by Disassociating Users or Workstations

You can force an application to be uninstalled by disassociating it from the user or workstation, provided you have enabled the application to be uninstalled (see Enabling an Application to be Uninstalled ). If you disassociate an application that has not been configured as uninstallable, the application's files, shortcuts, INI settings, and registry settings will not be removed from the workstation.

  1. In ConsoleOne, right-click the Application object > click Properties.

  2. Click the Associations tab.

  3. Select the user or workstation you want to disassociate from the application > click Delete.

  4. Click OK.

    The next time Application Launcher/Explorer refreshes, it will uninstall the application from the user's workstation. In addition, the Application object will no longer be displayed on the user's workstation.

    HINT:  You can use the Unassociated Days to Uninstall option to specify a longer grace period for the user. To do so, right-click the user's object in ConsoleOne > click Properties > click the Application Launcher tab > click Edit > modify the Unassociated Days to Uninstall option.
