Content Blackout Schedule

The Content Blackout Schedule panel lets you define times when content (bundles, policies, configuration settings, and so forth) is not delivered to devices.

You can define the blackout schedule at three levels:

NOTE:The Content Blackout Schedule setting lets you prevent managed devices from downloading content from a content source during the blackout period. This setting, however, does not affect content replication. For this reason, a Satellite device with the Content role can still replicate content from its parent primary server during the blackout period.

To set a blackout schedule:

  1. If you are setting a blackout schedule for a device folder or device, click Override settings to activate the Content Blackout Schedule panel.

  2. Click Add to display the Specify Black-Out Time Period dialog box.

  3. Fill in the following fields:

Start Date: Click Calendar icon to select the day on which you want the blackout period to start.

Start Time: Select the hour you want the blackout period to start.

End Date: Click Calendar icon to select the day on which you want the blackout period to end.

End Time: Select the hour you want the blackout period to end.

  4. Click OK to add the schedule to the list.

  5. Repeat Step 2 through Step 4 to define additional blackout periods.

  6. When you have finished defining blackout periods, click Apply to save the settings.
