IMPORTANT: If you have already installed Policy and Distribution Services on NetWare or Windows servers, the eDirectory schema has already been extended. Skip to Installing Policy and Distribution Services on a UNIX Server .
To extend the eDirectory schema for Policy and Distribution Services objects, you must run the Installation Wizard at a Windows workstation that meets the requirements described in Installation Workstation Requirements .
At the installation workstation:
If you have not already done so, log in to the eDirectory tree where you want to create Distributor and Subscriber objects.
Insert the ZENworks for Servers 3 program CD.
The initial Installation Wizard window appears. If it does not display automatically after inserting the CD, you can start it by running WINSETUP.EXE at the root of the CD.
Click Schema Extensions.
Select the eDirectory tree where you want to create Distributor and Subscriber objects > click OK.
Click Yes to confirm that you want to extend the schema on the selected eDirectory tree.
Click View Log File to review the extensions that were added to the eDirectory schema.
Close the log file > click OK > exit the Installation Wizard.
