When you have an entitlement that uses an OEM, Machine, Per-Named User, or Per-User license model, you must specify which devices or users are covered by the entitlement. The following sections provide instructions:
When you create an entitlement with an OEM or Machine license model, you must specify the devices that you want covered by the entitlement. Only the covered devices are eligible to consume the entitlement’s licenses.
If you are on the licensed product’s License Entitlements page, skip to Step 2. Otherwise, open the page:
In ZENworks Control Center, click the Asset Management tab.
In the License Management page, click Licensed Products.
Click the product whose entitlement coverage you want to modify.
Click the License Entitlements tab.
In the Entitlements panel, click the OEM or Machine entitlement.
Click the Coverage tab.
In the Covered Machines panel, click Add and perform any of the following:
Select Devices with Product Installed if you only want to see devices that have the product installed.
or
Select Any Devices if you want to see all devices.
The Search for Device dialog box is displayed. Because your system might include many devices, the Search for Device dialog box lets you limit the displays to only those devices that meet your defined criteria.
Use the Search Criteria to specify which devices you want to display. If you don’t want to limit the search results, skip to 4b.
Device Type: Select the types of device (managed, inventoried, migrated) you want included in the search results.
Device Filter: The filters let you define specific criteria that a device must meet to be included in the search results. Use the Add Filter, Add Filter Set, and Insert Filter options to create the search criteria.
Maximum Number of Devices to Display: Specify the maximum number of devices to include in the search results.
In the Columns to Display in Search Results list, Ctrl+click and Shift+click to select the columns you want displayed in the search results.
Click Search to display the search results.
Select the devices you want to add to the Covered Machines list, then click OK.
Select Folder or Group, in the Choose Machine Coverage Folder or Group, select the required group or folder.
To include devices from the subfolder, select the Include Subfolder checkbox.
Click OK to add all the selected folder or group.
If you do not want to consider a device or a folders or a groups for license compliance, you can exclude them by removing it from the covered devices.
To remove a device, or a folder or a group, select the required device, and then click Remove.
NOTE:You are allowed to remove a folder or a group, but not the devices available within the folder or a group.
When you create an entitlement with a Per-Named User license model, you must specify the users that you want covered by the entitlement. Only the covered users are eligible to consume the entitlement’s licenses.

When you create an entitlement with a Per-User license model, all users are covered by the entitlement. If necessary, you can exclude users. An excluded user does not consume a license even if a discovered product installation is associated with the user.
If you are on the licensed product’s License Entitlements page, skip to Step 2. Otherwise, open the page:
