Novell Announces Departure of Executive Vice President
OREM, Utah -- January 19, 1995 -- Novell, Inc. today announced
that Sheldon Laube, executive vice president and chief technology
officer, has chosen to leave the company to pursue other interests.
Laube's decision follows Novell's announcement last week that it
is forming a new Novell Products Group that consolidates previously
separate Systems, Applications and Information Access and
Management Groups into a single organization to better coordinate
product development and marketing.
Laube, 45, was responsible for technology planning across
Novell's product business units. He joined Novell in May 1995 from Price
Waterhouse, the professional services firm, where he was director of
information and technology.
"Sheldon Laube has been an effective spokesperson for Novell
and a valued contributor to my executive team," said Robert J.
Frankenberg, Novell chairman and chief executive officer. "But, given
the changes we are making in the Novell organization, Sheldon has
chosen to move on. Although we believe the consolidation of Novell's
product organization is a necessary part of our refocusing Novell to
network solutions, we respect Sheldon's decision to resign. He will be
missed, and we wish him well in the future."

provider. Novell software provides the infrastructure for a networked
world, enabling our customers to connect with other people and the
