Leading Word Processor Now Available for Full Range of Intel UNIX

DALLAS, Texas -- March 14, 1995 -- Novell today announced that
WordPerfect 6.0 for UNIX is now shipping for UnixWare 2 and for AT&T
UNIX SVR4 MP-RAS, which runs on the AT&T GIS System 3000.
WordPerfect 6.0 for UNIX is now available on seven different UNIX
platforms. Already available on SCO UNIX, the release of WordPerfect
for the two additional Intel UNIX platforms further extends the
multiplatform support of WordPerfect, and enables users in both PC and
workstation UNIX environments to take advantage of the product's
advanced word processing features.
WordPerfect 6.0 for UNIX provides a number of features for
enhanced ease-of-use, including a customizable interface so users can
work in the manner they choose, and more than 70 ExpressDocs.
ExpressDocs are automated templates that help users quickly and easily
create fax forms, memos, invoices and newsletters. Version 6.0 also
includes tables, drawing and charting modules; QuickFinder for text
indexing and retrieval; and the Grammatik 5 grammar and style checker.
"WordPerfect 6.0 brings powerful document processing tools and
a customizable interface to UnixWare 2 users," said Rick Bohdanowicz,

Printing features in Version 6.0 are also designed for flexibility
and ease-of-use. The WPPRINT feature performs batch mode,
command-line printing and merging in the UNIX environment. WordPerfect
also addresses a common font matrix across different environments so
users can print identical documents to more than 1,100 printers--the best
printer support in the industry.
"We are pleased that users of AT&T SVR4 UNIX MP-RAS will
now be able to reap the benefits provided by WordPerfect," said Jack
Steeg, assistant vice president, software marketing, AT&T Global
Information Solutions. "WordPerfect's flexibility and wealth of features
have made it a defacto standard and our users will be pleased they can
now access WordPerfect's many capabilities."
WordPerfect 6.0 for UNIX will also be released on Siemens
Nixdorf and Silicon Graphics (MIPS ABI) platforms later this quarter.
Character and international versions of WordPerfect for each of the

SVR4 MP-RAS platforms, WordPerfect continues to lead the industry by
offering UNIX word processing users the greatest flexibility and range of
options." said Mark Calkins, vice president of product and strategic
marketing for WordPerfect, the Novell Applications Group. "With wide
support for Intel UNIX systems, WordPerfect users can take advantage
of the power of 32-bit processing on lower-cost PC platforms."
