SmartSuite in all major industry reviews
OREM, Utah -- April 25, 1995 -- Novell, Inc.'s PerfectOffice suite
outperformed Microsoft Office and Lotus SmartSuite to win InfoWorld's
Software Suite review this week (issue dated April 24). The review
concluded that "PerfectOffice has leapfrogged Microsoft Office
Professional and Lotus SmartSuite to become the most tightly integrated
office suite on the market." PerfectOffice received an overall score of
7.0, compared to 6.4 for Microsoft Office and 6.8 for Lotus SmartSuite.
The InfoWorld review states that "PerfectOffice does a better job
of sharing information across applications or a workgroup and has a
more consistent user interface." The review also points out strengths in
network installation, task automation and data sharing.
"We focused on integration in PerfectOffice so users can get
their work done without worrying about individual applications," said

Applications. "We wanted to help users work--whether alone or in
groups--as efficiently and seamlessly as possible."
