Novell Announces Departure of Support Executive
Orem, UT, -- May 16, 1995 -- Novell, Inc. today announced the
departure of John C. Lewis, senior vice president, Novell Technical
Services. Lewis has chosen to leave Novell to pursue other interests.
Lewis joined Novell as part of its 1994 merger with WordPerfect
Corporation and immediately accepted the position of senior vice
president responsible for customer service and support programs.
Since the merger, Lewis has led the expansion and strengthening of
Novell Technical Services (NTS), a broad range of flexible support
programs for users of Novell application products and system software
products worldwide.
Lewis continues through the end of May and will assist in the
transition of responsibilities. Ongoing developments at NTS include a
new, customizable Premium Service for large accounts. In addition, NTS
has strengthened support for Novell applications in Europe at centralized
sites in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. NTS has also expanded
online and CD ROM support services to provide consistent technical
information for all Novell products. In March, 1995 NTS online services
were accessed by more than 3.5 million users.
Lewis originally joined WordPerfect in 1985 and later became
executive vice president in the office of the president. He also served
on WordPerfect's board of directors.
