New 5-User, RunTime NetWare 4 Options Broaden Access to Networked Telephony

Novell today announced availability and shipment of NetWare Telephony Services Release 2, the newest release of its industry-leading networked-telephony platform that integrates voice and data in valuable new ways. In addition, the company has expanded packaging options of NetWare Telephony Services 2 to include a five-user version as well as a runtime version of NetWare 4.1 operating system. These new options put powerful networked telephony capabilities within easy reach of users in departmental workgroups and large networks.

With NetWare Telephony Services 2, customers can develop advanced hotline, call control and telemarketing applications that improve customer communications and productivity.

The five-user option of NetWare Telephony Services 2 reduces the cost of entry to help workgroup users deploy powerful telephony applications. In addition, the NetWare 4.1 runtime option helps users--both in NetWare and non-NetWare environments--deploy telephony capabilities on a cost-effective server.

NetWare Telephony Services 2 also includes multi-client support, allowing users to preserve investments in their existing desktops and applications. Because it is based on an open and industry-accepted platform, NetWare Telephony Services 2 eliminates costly overhead of installing special equipment, adding secondary phone lines, and connecting every personal computer to a desktop telephone.
