Tadiran Telecommunications And Novell Sign Cooperation Agreement To Deliver Computer Telephony Integration Solutions

Tadiran Telecommunications Limited of Israel, and Novell Inc., the worldwide leader in networking solutions, are cooperating to provide a range of computer integrated telephony solutions.

NetWare and Coral ISBX users will be able to integrate their networked personal computer with their existing telephone and take advantage of CTI/TSAPI based applications to improve individual productivity.

The initial focus of the cooperation is for Tadiran to bring Novell's NetWare Telephony Services to market with the Coral ISBX. The first product from this cooperation is the Coral Telephony Server, available today. This platform will enable the development of CTI applications such as call centres, helpdesks and general TSAPI- based office solutions. These will be jointly demonstrated by Tadiran and Novell in October at Telecom 95, Geneva.

Meir Sperling, President of Tadiran Business System Division said, "As the industry is changing and our customers require integration of voice and data, we will, through our cooperation with Novell, address their needs for network based telephony solutions."

"Telephony is an important component of pervasive computing. Our success in this area is based on building industry partnerships with vendors who can address these opportunities and provide business solutions for our customers. The relationship with Tadiran, a global telecoms player, will enhance our ability to meet these needs", added Ian Fraser, Vice President of Novell Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Both organisations plan to investigate additional areas of cooperation, such as Novell Embedded Software Tehnology (NEST) and GroupWise, to deliver integrated solutions.
