Novell Announces UnixWare 2 Explorer CD Navigation Tool

One Stop Shopping for UnixWare Systems Management and Applications Development

FLORHAM PARK, NJ--August 31, 1995--Novell, Inc. announces the availability of its UnixWare 2 Explorer CD ROM which provides comprehensive, one-stop interactive information on dozens of the most popular network and systems management, and applications development solutions currently available on UnixWare 2. Thousands of applications are available for UnixWare 2, the first business critical application server designed for Novell networks.

This innovative interactive tool provides MIS directors, in-house and commercial developers, system administrators and end-users with an arsenal of information on tools available for UnixWare 2. It also includes demo versions of network management, system management and application development tools for UnixWare 2, which can assist in making a more informed purchasing decision.

UnixWare 2 development tools such as Atria Software's Clearcase and Computer Associates' UniCenter management tools are featured in this Explorer CD, as well as actual 90 day working versions of Oracle WorkGroup Server and Word Perfect 6 for UNIX. Future versions of the Explorer CD will be updated to include new solutions as they are introduced.

The Explorer CD is shipping now with every copy of UnixWare 2's Software Development Kit (SDK), and is also available free of charge to UnixWare 2 Application Server (AS) and Personal Edition (PE) customers simply by returning a postcard. It will be available, without cost, at trade shows and as part of future version of the UnixWare Development Solutions Guide.
