Novell Gains More Than 200 PerfectOffice Developers Following National Seminar Tour

More Than 2,000 Now Enrolled in PerfectFit Partners Developers Program

OREM, Utah -- August 29, 1995 -- Novell, Inc. today announced that more than 200 PerfectOffice® developers joined the growing ranks of its PerfectFit Partners® developers program as a result of its recent national seminar tour. The free PerfectOffice Developer Seminar, which reached 13 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada, was designed to help developers create custom solutions for PerfectOffice, Novell's award-winning network suite. The 2,000 members of Novell's PerfectFit Partners program are using PerfectOffice in innovative products and solutions. The 1,000 developers who attended the free training received a copy of PerfectOffice and the PerfectOffice Developers Kit. The PefectOffice Developers Kit provides detailed technical instruction on integrating solutions with PerfectOffice by taking advantage of PerfectFit technology, Novell's shared code used by all PerfectOffice applications. The seminars were open to independent software vendors (ISVs), corporate developers and consultants creating custom solutions.

"Developers who completed a seminar survey at the end of the session concluded that the seminar was very informative and well worth the time," said Brent Garlick, director of developer relations.. "Attendees were impressed with PerfectOffice and excited about Novell's enthusiastic attitude towards developers. They saw great potential in creating custom solutions with PerfectOffice and were particularly impressed with the ability to use such tools as PerfectScript#, AppWare® and Borland® Delphi®."

Novell's PerfectFit Partner Program

Novell launched its PerfectFit Partners Developer Program in October 1994 to encourage developers to design, build and market products which support Novell's network suite, PerfectOffice, through the use of PerfectFit technology. PerfectFit technology enables developers to deliver products with the same look and feel as PerfectOffice.
