NetWare 4.1: First Class Extended

Customer Response Exceeds Expectations

OREM, Utah--November 15, 1995--With over 30,000 student customers around the globe successfully completing the program, Novell announced plans today to extend its NetWare 4.1: First Class training program through Dec. 31, 1995. A one-day, hands-on introductory training promotion designed to acquaint networking administrators and Information Services (IS) managers with NetWare 4.1, First Class initially started as a two-month promotion. Due to strong demand, the program has literally doubled in scope and has now been extended through the end of the year. Novell is receiving hundreds of calls every day from students around the world wishing to attend NetWare 4.1: First Class. Thousands more are scheduled to complete the training before the end of 1995.

Training Proves To Be Resounding Success Worldwide

"We are very encouraged by the positive and widespread acceptance we have received regarding NetWare 4.1: First Class and are pleased that we can accommodate the interest with additional training dates at our Novell Authorized Education Center (NAEC) locations throughout the world," said Jerry S. Christensen, Director of Business Development at Novell Education. "NAECs are reporting success worldwide, with the promotion being especially successful in the United Kingdom, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Brazil--and by their terms, 'exceeding all expectations'."

Effective immediately, Novell is extending the NetWare 4.1: First Class opportunity, authorizing NAECs to hold additional training sessions from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31, 1995.

First Class Provides Smooth Transition

"We are excited that Novell has extended this opportunity, said Mark C. Lamberth, Executive Vice President, ATHENA Computer Learning Center, Inc., Nashville, Tenn., "Novell's First Class sessions have been a hit with our customers, especially those who have been running NetWare 3.12 for many years and are upgrading to NetWare 4.1. The feedback from our Certified Novell Instructors (CNIs), has been positive too. One of our CNIs, who has taught numerous First Class sessions, remarked that he wished students would take this as an introduction to the "NetWare 4 Administration" course because of the great background it provides to students."

The special one-day course is taught by CNIs at more than 300 participating NAECs around the world. Network administrators and other network service providers attending NetWare 4.1: First Class receive a comprehensive introduction to installing, administering, and managing a NetWare 4.1 network, as well as how NetWare 4.1 can dramatically reduce administration costs from 34 percent to 300 percent.

"These individuals will play a key role in migrating companies to NetWare 4.1, and this training provides users with valuable knowledge of how upgraded features and enhancements operate, enabling a smoother transition from previous versions to NetWare 4.1," said Christensen. "This type of program plays a critical role in accelerating global understanding of Novell's flagship product, NetWare 4.1."

NetWare 4.1: First Class exposes network service providers to the ease of NetWare 4.1 migration, installation, and administration. This exposure will prove beneficial to these service providers as they seek further NetWare 4.1 training.

Those interested in attending First Class should call (800) 883-2271 or (612) 831-2429. Network administrators and other networking service providers attending First Class will receive a hands-on introduction to installing, administering, and managing a NetWare 4.1 network. Cost for attending NetWare 4.1: First Class is US $49.
