Novell Offers DeveloperNet® Subscribers Reduced Price
on Technical Support CD-ROM
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- January 8, 1996 -- Novell today announced
that DeveloperNet® subscribers are eligible for special reduced pricing
and new licensing options for the Network Support Encyclopedia
Professional Volume® (NSEPro®), the company's technical knowledge
base on CD-ROM. NSEPro provides Novell customers and support
professionals with a rich set of up-to-date support information in a
convenient CD-ROM format.

NSEPro
The NSEPro CD-ROM contains the following information as it
applies to NetWare, Groupware, Personal Productivity and SCO
UnixWare products:
- Downloadable files, patches and drivers
- Thousands of Technical Information Documents (TIDs)
- Product documentation
- Novell Application Notes
- Groupware Professional's Guide
- Novell Labs certification bulletins
NSEPro has hyperlink functionality and full text searching
capabilities. Customers can search using custom menus and Boolean
logic, or browse through manuals and technical information. Beginning
with the 95-9 version, the NSEPro CD-ROM began shipping on two CDs:
one with downloadable files, patches and drivers and the other with
TIDs and additional technical documents. The NSEPro CD-ROM is
compatible with Windows, DOS and Macintosh.
DeveloperNet
DeveloperNet is Novell's comprehensive developer relations
subscription program that serves as the primary communications channel
for Novell to deliver its products, SDKs, information and support to the
software development community. All DeveloperNet subscribers receive
a wealth of resources from Novell, including a quarterly SDK CD-ROM,
one standard developer support incident, one Novell developer product,
a subscription to Developer Notes, discounts on classes and literature,
and more. DeveloperNet Advanced subscribers receive additional
support incidents and Novell developer products, as well as a 15%
discount on BrainShare attendance in the United States, Europe and
Australia.
A base subscription to DeveloperNet costs $345.00 (US) per
year; an advanced subscription costs $995.00 (US) per year.

Pricing and Availability
Beginning today, DeveloperNet subscribers can receive a
single-user subscription to NSEPro for $295 for an annual subscription
with 12 monthly updates -- more than 40% off the recently announced
suggested retail price of $495. DeveloperNet subscribers can also
purchase a site license subscription to NSEPro for $595 annually.
DeveloperNet subscribers purchasing NSEPro from locations outside the
United States will be charged an additional $100 per year to cover duties
and higher shipping costs. DeveloperNet subscribers purchasing a site
license can receive additional CD-ROMs for $295 per CD per year.
