Find Your "Cyber-Soulmate" with Novell
New Interactive Web Site Offers Fun Discovery of Novell LAN
WorkPlace 5 Features
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- January 17, 1996 -- Kate is the first to arrive
at your party, touches all of your food without eating any of it, then gets
in a fight with your dog. Mack travels to France for the fries and toast,
and parks his car in the loading zone at the airport. Jen thinks she is so
important that she will cut in line in a funeral procession, and is always
willing to give unwanted advice and scathing criticism. Sound like some
crazy cross-pollination of "Friends" meets "Melrose Place?" Think
again--these eccentric folks are all characters in Novell's new interactive
Web site "Find Your Cyber-Soulmate," which promotes the many
features of Novell's industry leading Internet connectivity software LAN
WorkPlace 5. This new interactive Web site demonstrates the ease with
which information can be delivered to customers, partners and
employees through technology such as Novell's LAN WorkPlace 5 and
NetWare Web Server.
Found on Novell's Web site
(http://iamg.novell.com/iamg/internet/soulmate/), this promotion invites
participants to read about characters who could use the assistance of
LAN WorkPlace 5. Each character represents the challenges of different
features of information access partners such as remote access,
reliability, sharing information and networking--all of which are met by the
features of LAN WorkPlace 5. After reviewing each screen, participants
are asked to take a quiz to test their new knowledge of LAN WorkPlace
5, after which they are automatically entered into a semi-monthly contest
to win a T-shirt, and into the grand prize drawing to win an IBM ThinkPad
Butterfly.
"This interactive Web site demonstrates to our customers the
effectiveness of the Internet as a delivery mechanism," said Mark
Griffiths, director of marketing Novell Internet Commerce Division.
"Through this fun interactive experience, users will learn how this
powerful tool can enhance connectivity, access to information and data
sharing."
