OREM, Utah -- February 7, 1996 -- More than 5,000 networking professionals and industry media and analysts will be among the first to hear the latest on Novell's technology and product roadmaps, see new technology demonstrations and have the chance to meet and interact directly with Novell engineers and other technologists at BrainShare '96. The 12th annual BrainShare, Novell's premier technical conference, will take place March 18-22, 1996 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The theme of this year's BrainShare is Building the Smart Global Network, the interconnection of private business networks and the Internet into a single information resource for businesses and consumers. Highlights of this year's conference include:

BrainShare attendees will have access to the first technical specifications for the network interfaces, infrastructure, and core services necessary to build, manage and deploy applications across the Smart Global Network.

* Hands-on technology demonstrations in Novell laboratories of increased network throughput with NetWare Symmetric Multiprocessing; complete access through any Internet Web browser to NDS and GroupWise; integrated computer-telephony integration solutions using Novell Telephony Services and Telephony Services API, and more.

* Informal meetings and social events will provide the opportunity for participants to exchange ideas and information they need to grow their businesses and more effectively serve their customers.

"BrainShare '96 will give networking professionals the critical edge they need to get the most out of Novell's network products and services," said Gary Mueller, Novell's vice president of corporate developer relations.
