Novell Names June May to Head Technical Support in Europe, Middle East and Africa

OREM, Utah -- February 26, 1996 -- Novell, Inc. today announced the appointment of June May as vice president of technical support operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Reporting directly to the senior vice president of Novell Technical Services, Richard A. Nortz, this new position is the cornerstone for technical support operations in Novell's EMEA region. Nortz recently reorganized the company's support operations worldwide to bring Novell closer to its customers and partners.

May joins Novell from Informix Software Ltd, where she directed EMEA customer services and completed ISO9000 certification in five support offices, increased service revenue by more than $30 million in 1995 and achieved the highest customer satisfaction results as reported in a worldwide industry survey. With nearly 20 years of experience in the software service industry, May has worked for companies such as Digital Equipment Corporation Ltd and Wang UK Ltd. A native of Great Britain, May will be located at Novell's UK office in Bracknell, England, managing Novell's support operations centered in D#sseldorf and Capelle.

Novell is investing in new technology and training programs for support employees and partners that will improve the delivery of support services."

May's responsibilities include enhancing the EMEA technical services operation to support Novell's Net2000 initiatives, while delivering improved response and resolution time. Other responsibilities include developing a comprehensive quality management system and achieving ISO9000 certification in each of Novell's EMEA support centers. May will work closely with Novell's EMEA sales organizations and with the technical service divisions in North America and Asia Pacific to develop and deliver worldwide service programs for partners and end-users. Additionally, May will manage the transition of technical support for personal productivity products in EMEA to Corel.
