Novell Ships Next Beta of GroupWise 5

GroupWise Leverages Internet Standards to Offer Leading Intranet Solution

Novell, Inc. today announced the widespread availability of the next beta of GroupWise 5. Also referred to as the open beta, this current release offers enhanced performance and reliability. Novell began GroupWise 5 beta testing in March with a select group of third-party developers and customers, followed by a full-featured beta that was released on June 3.

GroupWise 5 is an expanded client/server E-mail system that is the first in the industry to include full document management capabilities as part of a new Universal Mail Box. GroupWise 5 helps companies leverage the corporate network investment by providing an instant collaborative solution for the corporate intranet. Building on its predecessor, GroupWise 4.1, GroupWise 5 also seamlessly integrates calendaring/scheduling, task management, shared folders, conferencing, workflow and Internet access into the Universal Mail Box.
