Novell NetWare Wins BYTE Readers' Choice Award for 1996 Twentieth Major Award Conferred on NetWare 4.1 OREM, Utah -- July 30, 1996 -- Novell, Inc. today announced that, for the second consecutive year, NetWare has been voted Readers' Choice for the Network OS - DOS, Win, OS/2 category in BYTE Magazine. NetWare was also runner-up in the Network OS - MAC category. The results of BYTE's 1996 Readers' Choice Awards reflect a "real world" user preference based on a poll of 4,000 readers randomly selected to represent BYTE's total of nearly half a million readers. "NetWare continues to meet the needs of businesses and users of every sort better than any other network operating system on the market," said William Donahoo, senior director of product marketing. "This award from BYTE Magazine recognizes NetWare's excellence as well as its market dominance.
