Novell Reduces Price of Novell InnerWeb Publisher
New Pricing Reflects Novell's Commitment to the Intranet
Market
What:
Novell today announced a price reduction of its Novell InnerWeb
Publisher, now available for a suggested retail price of $1,795.
This new pricing makes it easier for customers to take advantage of the
most complete, cost-effective intranet publishing solution on the market
today. Novell InnerWeb Publisher provides everything you need in one
box for publishing internal Web documents on a corporate Web site.
One of the key elements of Novell InnerWeb Publisher is Novell's
NetWare® Web Server 2.5, a NetWare Loadable
Module (NLM) that allows customers to utilize NetWare
servers as the core of their fully fledged Web sites. In addition, NetWare
Web Server 2.5 utilizes Novell Directory Services (NDS) by
providing user authentication, dynamic Web page creation, and the ability
to browse corporate directories.
In addition to the NetWare Web Server, Novell InnerWeb Publisher also
includes:
- Netscape Navigator 2.01 -- this version of popular browser
supports the latest Internet technology including Java, JavaScript
and Inline Plug-Ins. In addition, the product features an integrated e-mail
and news reader, HTML support and a bookmark facility.
- HoTMetaL Light -- this HTML authoring tool combines
high-powered templates and forms tools with traditional
word-processing features to make it easy for users to quickly create
effective Web pages.
- IWare Lite -- this IPX-to-IP translator enables Web access
over Internet Packet eXchange (IPX), so that administrators do not have
to install or manage Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol
(TCP/IP) stacks on every desktop for users to connect to their corporate
intranets.
- NetWare 4.1 Runtime -- the core NetWare 4.1 operating system gives
customers a cost-effective way to implement the NetWare Web Server
on a dedicated runtime server in either a NetWare 3.x or NetWare 4.x
environment.
When:
Novell InnerWeb Publisher is now available at the reduced price.
Upgrades from NetWare Web Server 2.x to Novell InnerWeb Publisher
