Novell Announces Departure of Finance Executive
OREM, Utah -- September 6, 1996 -- Novell, Inc. today
announced the resignation of Stephen C. Wise, senior vice president,
finance, effective September 27, 1996. Wise is leaving Novell to assume
the chief financial officer position at Legato Systems, Inc., a Silicon
Valley
software company and Novell partner.
"We thank Steve for many years of effective contributions to Novell and
its finance organization," said James Tolonen, executive vice president
and chief
financial officer. "Steve has built a strong and
mature finance organization within Novell. We wish him well in his new
position."
Wise has reported Tolonen. He joined Novell from the Excelan
merger in 1987 and has served as senior vice president, finance since
1994. Novell will assign Wise's responsibilities to existing management
staff in its finance organization.
